with every thoughtless utter
the meaning gets closer to less
fleeting moments of song and dance
totally sold on the modern romance
simplicity that's painted to be
is nothing more than escaping reality
as time passes and people age
the truth gets locked in a self-made cage
straying with a different hand
when it all crumbles to that of naught
it will be almost impossible to land.

Weddings
his story, her story and now their story.
as i begin to enter the phase of attending weddings, friends, colleagues and all.. my favourite part is watching the initial video clips/photos and witnessing the bright smiles on the groom & bride faces.. it doesn't matter if i know them well but often enough, i find my heartstrings being tugged as their faces of glee shines right through the projector screen.
there need not be much editing for their facial expressions tell it all.. for if this was a trailer of a romantic movie, i'll totally be amazed by the actors of this fairytale story.. and finally when the clip ends, and the duo appears hand in hand.. its like the premier of a grand movie. and from 2d to 3d, the leading cast shows up with the same expressions of glee.
well, unlike a premier where the actors can lay back knowing all work is done, the leading man and woman of our wedding know its just begun.. for the smiles cannot last forever and tough times await.. but i hope they know that just as easily as the smiles can fade, they can easily appear again. and i wish them the same bright smiles throughout their wedded life.

Change
complications often starts within
emotions aplenty beneath that skin
to change, to adapt
an ongoing process of life's destiny
walk along the lines of morality
and you'll be fine
upon the junction of left and right
if both choice just doesn't seem right
who says you cant turn around
or bash through the middle
and set a new path alight.
Only when one can change, will one be able to invoke change.

if there's any reason why it got darker
it would be the amount of light that i let shine
perceptions and deceptions strikes the initial
and everything just falls into line
